So my vacation went pretty well. I got in some free time with my girlfriend as well as caught up with my gaming cravings as well as took the time to think about and do absolutly nothing. My next vacation will not occur until shortly after the baby is born, but that's something I am really looking forward too. I guess I'll just grind it out at work in the mean time. I really have not updated the site that much but I also really don't have many that actually keep up with it anyways other then the spammers in the shoutbox. I would make the shoutbox member-only but that wouldnt be as much fun. Theres not much more for me to write about right now, things have actually been going pretty smoothly for me these last few weeks. Xbox/Zune are down for the time being while Microsoft updates them but I'm assuming when they come back up they will be a bit better then they previously were. Anyways, back to the grind for now! |

A new update came out for my Zune today. The updated firmware/software is great. I can now browse the marketplace wirelessly via any wifi access point, tag songs on the FM radio for download, play games without the device restarting, theres a new clock on the top-right corner, and a few other things. Mostly I'm excited about the added mixview where I can see my currently playing artist and their albums, who inspired them and other relevent things to give me an idea of what I might want to check out in the future. I love this feature because I am always on the search for new music and with Zune pass I can download nearly unlimited music with just a flat fee. I love my Zune, I questioned it at first but now I can't get it out of my pocket. XNA 3.0 Beta will be out sometime this week as well so I can sync all the old games I had back over as the CTP version does not work with the new firmware. All of you trying to decide between the iPod and the Zune, choose the Zune. Unless you get an iPod touch in which case you probably just want the wifi browser anyways.

So I never gave an exact reason as to why my website has been down. My host recently preformed a giantic server move to faster servers and it took a long time, plus these freaking hurricanes are probably not helping at all. Things are all up and working again, and I am going to be adding things to the site today and tomorrow. I will be adding a few tools for website designers and a few things that you will only find here on my website that will be fun and useful for everybody! Also the new Zune 3.0 software and firmware will be out tomorrow so I'm super excited about that and next week my vacation starts, yay! I have to get a root canal next Monday which I have yet to get since my tooth infection, so I will be out a few days next week due to that. Luckily I have a sweet girl beside me to give me bedside assistance! |
I hate to post news stories late, but I've been in so much pain from this tooth infection to really care right now. Ontop of the tooth infection, with pain so bad it took passing out drunk to get the pain to go away, my Grandma died at 1:20pm on Wednesday 08/27/2008. Her and my Grandpa were married for 54 years and remarried recently. After her long battle with cancer she is now in a better place and will be missed by all of us. Out of the memories of her I find my own inner peace. She loved arts and crafts and made booties and blankets for almost everyone in her family, including myself, and was always a backbone of our best family moments. She had a sweet tooth loved M&M's, I tend to believe sometimes that half her diet over her lifetime consisted of them, and every Saturday her and my aunt's and cousin's shopped at Wal-Mart to get even more M&M's. She always had candy and cookies for all of us grandchildren when we would visit, and always offered us advice and hugs no matter what situation we were in, unless we interupted her soap operas, because we were her grandkids and she cherished each and every one of us. She was always just as strict to her word as she was sweet to our wounds and would always remedy any situation presented to her with just a few calming words, some M&M's, a swat, and a hug. She will always be in my memories as she watches over all of us from her little wal-Mart in heaven. Words will never describe how much we loved you and miss you now Grandma. |
